Ari and Jade

9:22pm: Sims2
Well, I finally did it. I finally killed Isaac (aka Ari's dad). T-T I tried walling him up in a room in the backyard, but the game crashed and I just couldn't do that again, so the next time I had him move out onto a vacant lot. Adah (aka Ari's mom) cried a lot as her husband walked out the door. It was touching. I built a little hut on the vacant lot with a toilet and sink because I couldn't just leave him out there with nothing and it was hard seeing him fall asleep outside while standing up that first night, cold, hungry, and miserable. But not long after he found shelter, Death came calling. And then he used the toilet. At the same moment, Hersh decided to pay his old buddy a visit. ^^* Awkward... But anyway, here is a screen cap. I think I will turn this lot into a sort of graveyard where the other Sims can visit their deceased relatives graves. After I send Jade's mother here, I will make a character and name it Caretaker to keep the place visitable.

1:38am: Diversions...
I was going to finish typing up the next update and post it, but then I realize I have to go back and rewrite/change some details, so I will do that maybe tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy these pics from my Sims2 game. XD

You know, the really sad part is that Isaac has to die. I am not sure how I will kill him yet. I was thinking tragic stereo fixing indicent, but not until Ari grows into a child.

12:47am: Don we now our gay apparel
I hereby promise to write a special short story that probably will involve A+J characters (most likely Gavan, if no one else). Will it be festive? Yes. Will it be naughty? Most definitely. Will it be nice? I sure as hell hope so. I feel like maybe I'm getting rusty. Thank goodness I kill time by RPing on Gaia! XD Keeps the blood flowing to all the write places. (Oh no! Bad pun alert! XP I am terrible.) I will post the story here hopefully tomorrow. I have a few hours in which to get it done tomorrow between work and play. I feel so excited, I almost feel like I won't be able to sleep. But I am posting this so I can't weasel my way out of it later.

P.S. OH MY GAWD I WANT TO SEE "BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN" RIGHT NOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!! :o

9:48pm: Hiatus: a gap or interruption in space, time, or continuity; a break
I'm sorry, but I work at least 45 hours this week (possibly more, since the HF schedule starts Friday and isn't posted yet), so I do not have the mental or physical energy to devote to writing an update this week. :( To say nothing of the struggle it has been to concentrate on writing since the beginning of the month. *sigh* I'm still working on stuff, I just don't have the time or energy to type it all up and get it posted. I hope not to postpone updates until the new year, but that is a possibility. m(_ _)m

11:12pm: Aoooooooo!!
I thought that I should update to say that one of my jobs is ending soon, and I plan to keep Saturdays free for writing and possibly social life (though hopefully more of the writing). I warn you that the updates are probably going to be a bit short still, but I want to up the word count from last week's 600 to 1000. Hopefully we'll be back up to 2000 before too long. This season is going to busy for me, so please hang in there! I admit that I have been dabbling with other stories (yes, even a new book *gasp!shock!*) but I swear that I will not forget about this one and I will continue to do my best and update every week. Working on multiple projects can actually be refreshing. :3 Since I work from 6pm-10pm tomorrow, I may shut myself away in the library to finish this week's update. (:o It's been so long!) Some is already written, and I am sure the squeeling fangirls will happy to hear that it involves Ari and Gavan's second date, but that is all I am saying. :) Don't you really hate me right now? Mwa ha ha....

8:13pm: Sorry
Due to personal upheavel, I am going to postpone the A+J update for now. I hope to have the new chapter finished by this weekend, but we'll see. Part of it is written, just not typed up.

8:42pm: Special Halloween Bonus
I know it isn't Halloween yet, but I made this as a present anyway. ^^ The background image was found on Google Image Search. I can't find the source page now. >_< Suffice it to say I didn't make it.Have fun guessing who they all are!

3:34am: More vacation!
This time I am off to NYC. I should return Tuesday and promise to have the update up by that night. :)

6:20am: Something else I need to do more often
Note to self: read the previous chapter before writing the new one. In fact, make notes as you write. It'll make the editing process go so much more smoothly. :P

I was working on writing more this morning when I realized I wasn't sure if Ari had ever talked about his father, so I went back and started reading from the beginning. Why didn't you guys tell me there were so many typos!!! >_< I also found a few minor inconsistencies - or, at the very least, oversights - that I corrected. So what is posted here is now outdated. I am not going to bother updating these entries because that would be a pain and I do not expect anyone to go back and read it. But if I one day send you a full draft of this book to critique for me, know that I did go back and tweak a bit.

5:37pm: Special Character Picture #2
This is my own work, so no stealing and taking the credit or I will be severely pissed off. However, if you want to use it to somehow link back to me, then drop me a line to let me know. The model for this was a Japanese model that I had on my computer. I'm not sure what her name is, but I only used her body and hair (though I had to change the feet because the way the model had them came out looking deformed). Jade is very small (about 5'2" I think), but she is not Asian.

12:45am: Tadaima! + Special Character Picture #1
And thus I return from sunny Florida. I come baring gifts! A picture of Ari! I plan to do one of Jade, too - and hopefully a better one of Ari! I have more written, but not typed up yet, so look forward to more story later today and possibly Tuesday.

5:07pm: Uwah!!! So busy!!!
Okay, here is what is going on this week:

I leave for a week+ long vacation in Florida this Friday. I work Thursday night until Friday morning, then we are leaving almost immediately upon my return from work. I will try to update this week's chapter early, but I am so busy that I am sorry to say I can not promise a new chapter. T-T If I do not update this week, then I promise a double shot upon my return in a week and a half. ^^* I'm working hard on another book, too, so balancing two books plus a week away from my laptop may prove to be a bit much, but I swear I will do my best! Please look forward to it!

This is a story about a girl named Jade who ran away from home and met up with a miserable guy (and singer-songwriter) named Ari. It's also about Ari's friends Kayden and Erin, Ari's sister Maya, Kayden's cousin Mina (who is in love with Ari), and the love of Ari's life, his brother-in-law Brice. Could a feisty 16 year old high school dropout help a 22 year old angst-ridden gay Jew? Let's find out.
